detail gets lost, actually yes and no! I find my car radio to reveal all the ugly sides of the mix. Very very useful. It's like a unforgiving monitoring system.

Sounds like you have a room problem at 150 Hz to 300 Hz, a frequency dip.

I do my mixes on BM6A mk1 plus sub, check them on HD25 (Sennheiser), tine Sony headphones (= in-ear NS10s), and on Adam A7s in another room, which is very useful, annoying upper mids will show up, plus AKG K271 for annoying muddy mids and some Phillips for annoying upper bass, and in the car, where any exaggerated 80 Hz bass will produce rumble of the door.
