New Moog Minitaur

http://www.moogmusic.com/products/taurus/minitaur

Based off a Moog Taurus. Mini Taurus essentially?

I'm very curious now, and hopefully one of you who knows about these Taurus things...what makes them good for bass...and the especially important question (for people that want a particular sound) how does it compare to flagship circuity and sound (Voyager?).

Clearly the Taurus and a Voyager are completely different products on their own, with the Taurus giving you mostly bass with the tactile nature of pedals for live performance to free up your hands for lead lines (presumably). But I do know people play these by hand. Any reason in particular? Moog claims their Taurus is the best bass synth ever: "If you're serious about bass, take the next step up to the ultimate bass synthesizer". Ultimate is ultimate right? But of course many people consider the Minimoog/Voyager bass to be the best/heaviest/fattest.

Since the Minitaur looks like it needs some sort of step sequencer or keyboard to play on, it's directly now comparable to the rest of the Moog line for bass. So people, how does it compare? (assuming it's the same sound as a Taurus).

Just had to add another comment here:

I really like how it's no frills, makes basically 2 sounds. Simple. For me, having limitations is very important in my workflow, and a product that forces you to choose between a finite number of permutations (2 waves, limited pitch control) and move on is a step in the right direction for me.

I'm not the biggest fan of the "Moog" sound other than for bass anyways, so I think this would be something I'd go to over my Voyager. And, how adorable would that thing look on a desktop?
