ecreate Pink Floyd's first album psychedelic vocal rack effect with vst

Hi there
I would like to recreate Pink Floyd's first album psychedelic vocal rack effect with vst.
Ok, I know they record it in a studio with all analog hardware.
But I wondering if it's possibile to have something similiar with today vst.

thanks in advance

What effect were you thinking of? It sounds to me like the vocals on that album are all just doubled and then have some reverb chamber added.

I'm pretty sure there are some videos on YouTube with Alan Parsons talking about production on the Dark Side of the Moon. Try that for starters. They probably used an AKG Plate for the reverbs. There were lots of tracks involved.

Here's a great post about recording Piper http://www.gearslutz.com/board/4596797-post84.html

u48, emi console, ADT, EMT plates. although I'm a little skeptical about the ADT. The vocals sound like real doubling to me.

To each his own. I saw the Dark Side of the Moon show in 73. Quad sound, hydraulic lift towers for the lights, flash powder. That was show business in a fog of pot smoke!! Great fun.
