Thread Starter | SCA pres vs. Quad Eight
Hello, I am considering getting a rack of Seventh Circle Audio A12 pres, mostly to record rock (drums, amps etc.). I know they have two opamp options: the SC25 which is supposed to be similar to API, and the SC10 which is similar to the Quad Eight. I have seen a lot of info about how the A12 with the SC25 compares favorably to the API, but far less about the SC10. I fell in love with the Quad Eight after hearing them at a friend's studio in Seattle. If I could get that sound, I would be very interested. Can anyone tell me how close the A12 with SC10 is to the Quad Eight? Thanks

Thanks, Frank. This is good info. I will check out the Pacifica, although for a rack of 8 pres that would get pretty expensive. Any other thoughts out there on the A12 with SC10? |
