The CB20 is just the body of the mic, so it will depend which capsule(s) it comes with. If it's in good condition and comes with the plain cardioid (CC50) or omni (CC03) capsule I'd say perhaps £200 is a fair price in the UK. The other capsules are probably less useful for music recording.

I know the Calrec Soundfield is a fine mic but not sure about the CB20. Stock Aitken Waterman used a Calrec Soundfield on all of their hits. Rick Astley's "Never Gonna Give You Up" which I just heard recently. Great little track.

Ahh - so this is the Calrec 2000 series - sold as 2050 with the cardioid head (for example).

They are nice mics and were the Calrec equivalent to the original AKG C451/CK1 series.

The Calrec has a very course thread that could not be cross-threaded and were considered, in their day, a step up from the AKG.

I still have a pair in my mic. kit.

I assume so -- according to Saturn Sound, the body of the 2000 series is called the CB20.
