Monitors Advice

Hey guys, I'm looking for set of monitors not to produce but for music enjoyment. I figured the pro material should give better performance than anything else so here I am asking to the producer crowd.

So far I'm divided between the Adam A3X/A5x and the Mackie MR 5 Mk II.
I have heard the Adam A3X and though they had some great detail, really fast but lacked bass specially with rock/electro.

I'm going to use them almost against the wall on the desk between the monitor at 1 arm distance with some mopads. As for for music listening its divided between electro,DnB,Rock, metal and jazz.

Should I be looking for something else or one of this are fine ?

Hi Grib,

You said nothing about your budget ... ? As you know, there's a difference between 1K and 10K ...

Cheers.

I have Genelec 8030 now for music production, but i do like the Dynaudio sound (Bm5 etc) plus there tweakable on the back for a little extra top end.

I did have my eye on the Focal CMS40's at one point but never got to hear them would probably be worth a try if you can get to some, also there front ported and i think they have a notch filter like the Genelec 8000 series for if you have them on a flat surface like your desktop but you'll have to look into it.

Thanks for the input, unfortenly the Dynaudio BM5 costa almost as twice the Adam5X which is only 600€/pair while dynaudio 1000€/pair.
