The Poly Evolver has 4 voices, each voice a complete Evolver.

So you're saying I can play up to 4 difference voices simaltamously and each voice will change subtly or dramatically as I press it, how many does the evolver have ?

Best described from the website:

Each voice still has its own sequencer. This allows some great wave-sequencing applications by gating sequences polyphonically from the keyboard. Each voice also has its own effects, such as feedback, distortion, and 3-tap delay with 2 feedback paths, which enables completely independent processing of each voice for a super thick sound.

I may on occasion talk about some of the products I am a dealer for in my posts.. and that's OK! I sell them because I like them. Not vice versa. It's more fun to talk about things you know and love, then things you don't.

So I guess the biggest thing the Polyevolver has over the evolver is the ability to have FX and equalization and compression. But would this sound be applied to an entire instrument or to a single note ? Either way thanks alot for the information, Im thinking I can always add the effects and etc... since Ill be tracking in PT7

Incorrect.

As mentioned previously, a poly Evolver is basically just four Evolvers in a single package. The mono Evolvers have the exact same engine.

the difference? the poly evolver looks a lot nicer, in its keyboard iteration, at least. on the other hand, spending close to 3 grand for a 4-voice synthesizer in 2006 borders on the insane if you ask me. it would have to have a fellatio suction attachment to interest me at that price!

sadly, it does not...

Can anyone specify the differences in terms of the interface, ie knobularity? The only thing I can tell is that the sequencer is combined (I guess by some sort of shift key) with other knobs. Anything else? I can live with this tucking away of sequencer and without the polyphony but might save up for the poly if other functionality is sacrificed. Why no cheaper keyboardless yet still knobular version? Why oh why no fellacio upgrade option, when I can afford such?
thanks
