Thread Starter | Micing 2 cabs, different rooms
So my question is about phase when micing one head that is sent to 2 cabs. The 2 cabs will be in different rooms so I dont have to worry about phase from bleed, only phase from mic placement. I take it that if i mic one cab right up to the grill and the other cab 4 inches from the grill than I will get phase issues?? Is that right? So is the only way to correct phase between them to make sure that both mics are the same distance form their respective speakers?

just use your ears man! also if you are recording to a DAW zoom in and compare the 2 soundwaves and see if they are in phase.
