M-Audio AV40's vs. Samson MediaOne 4A's

I have the av40's in my dorm, just for listening to music and not a whole lot else. I really don't like them. For a 4" woofer, they get decent bass I guess (with the bass switch engaged) and I was a bit surprised by how loud they can get. Bottom line: Don't expect much.

Ah.
From everything else I've heard, they have a good, clear sound..
And I think sonic state said they were the best speakers for under $200.
