| Link to the DEFINITIVE 1176 explanation thread? Does anyone have a link to the DEFINITIVE 1176 explanation thread? I want to educate myself on the significant differences between the different 1176's that have come out through the years before I buy one. I'm seeking answers on sound differences, etc. between the different revisions, significant sound differences between different faceplate models (e.g. blackface, bluestripe, etc.), differences between Universal Audio models vs. Urei models. How do the reissues compare to the other varieties? How do the early reissues compare to the current reissues? Is it true the 2-1176 model isn't up to par with the regular 1176's? 1176LN...better or worse? As with most subjects on here, I'm sure this is a discussion that has long since been exhausted, but I'm just now getting in on the act. Is there a really good AND ACCURATE thread that lays it all out very well? Thanks. |
