I just heard their latest effort....

Its not terrible.... its good, actually. I just expected more.

I was so blown away by The Civil War, the new one feels like a bit of a letdown, too conventional, especially the fist 3-4 tracks. Its like they wanted to become more accessible so they made the first part of the album danceable.

Also, compared to the live things they were doing with So Percussion, its just not as exciting. Granted, when you set the bar so high for yourself, its sometimes tough to jump over it.

The Civil War is an awesome album. I didn't know they had a new one - I'll keep an eye out for it , thanks.

Civil War is great fun - and a great album. Their other stuff is so-so, I think. Looking forward to picking up the new album (hoping they don't make a Funkstörung on us).
