| Balanced or unbalanced?? Hi Guys, new here but have dropped by a few times. Anyway, my problem is I'm coming out of the balanced output of a Daking pre into an FMR RNC compressor. From there I need to get into the balanced input of a MOTU HD192. My question is, firstly is the FMR unbalanced (I think it is, it's making a serious noise with the currently balanced connections)?, and secondly, is it simply a question of disconnecting the ground from the input (the balanced out shouldn't be a problem should it?). Oh, and finally, which is the ground/earth on a balanced lead (should know by now-but keep fogetting!). Thanks, Pete |
