program to manage a song-catalogue?

hi folks,

I'm looking for a program/database to manage a song-catalogue (i.e. lot's of songs in diffrent genres).

It would be great if a link to mp3 can be implemented in it, so I can quickly listen to a extraction of the choosen song.

I would need it for my own administration only, no online-solution or similar.
..Just like a music-publisher.... how do they manage their catalogues..?

Thanks in advance for any tips,

Gitarrero

itunes. We've got our entire library input in both MP3 and AIFF along with instrumental and TV mixes. Sort by genre, artist and a whole lot more.

If you do a search there is a mac widget which can follow the lyrics of an itunes song.

There is a free program that I think is somehow affiliated with Sweetwater called "Setmaker". It is a nice little program for organizing catalogues of songs, you can sort by artist, genre, featured instrument, key, tempo, etc. There is space for lyrics I believe but I do not know about mp3 files - you may be able to link to them somehow though.

Cheers,

EDIT: YOU can get it here: http://www.sweetwater.com/download/

I've been using MP3 Boss for years. Great, simple to use. PC only, I believe. $15.

I use iTunes now for my iPod but I still use the Boss sometimes.
