Have you got the MIDI pickup already?

If your in the market for a strat, I bought an SX SST57 strat for $99 from Rondo Music.

Add $30 shippng and I spent $50 at the guitar tech to put a graphite nut on and do a complete setup. This is one great playing strat.

I also bought a Agile AL3000 Gold Top LP - $369 and it only needs a nutjob. Beautiful guitars for the money. Check out the specs on the LP. Pretty amazing.

They're Chinese made, but good quality woods and build.

Fender makes the Roland ready strat for around $500. It's a POS, I have one. I use a Fernandez Dragonfly fitted with a Roland midi pickup. It feeds the amazing Axon AX100 controller. It also has the sustainer system to eliminate the deady "midi note off" problem.

With this rig I can patch a mean Jimmie Smith Hammond patch and hold a E13 chord forever, even with the whammy bar going up and down.
