Bypassing mic pres on mbox 3 mini?

Is it possible to bypass the mic pres on a mbox 3 mini?

Well you could use 1/4" and line level. Or without Phantom power, I don't really hear much preamp in the xlr input on mine. Oddly the preamp on my mini sounds better than my 3rd gen M Box to me. I wish I had a mac I could actually have them all going at once.

I don't use 1/4 inch & all
Line level. I've heard it's just not possible to bypass the mbox 3 mini pres no matter what you use. I'm just trying to see if anyone disagrees

You won't be able to bypass them on a Mini or the regular Mbox. Only on the new Mbox Pro.

Thanks. So that means I'm not even hearing the effect that the GAP 73 has on my sm7b! smh! Time to change interfaces!

If you don't plug into the mic pre, then it won't go through the mic pre, effectively bypassing the mic pre.

No you're hearing it. Use the line inputs with no gain, and effectively you've bypassed the pre. If you're not adding gain, the effect the preamp has is neglible.
