Calling San Diego/Los Angeles Sluts - Help!

I need your help.

I've got an MCI 416B 24 channel 8 bus sitting at a friends spot and he needs it out. I don't have the space right now to store another console - I've already got an Otari Concept 1, Amek Angela, and my recently aquired Soundtracs Quartz console taking up my storage space. Not to mention I live in AR, so I'd have to pay for shipping and crating - which he doesn't have the means to take care for me right now.

That said, i'm looking for someone in the San Diego/Los Angeles area who would like to do me the favor of picking up the MCI and storing it for me. The perk is, while I need it stored, I don't mind if you use it. Feel free to hook it up in your studio if thats an option for you, track bands, record on it, etc. In fact, I'd appreciate if someone could do that. It's been about 6-7 months since it was last used, it could probably use a workout to insure everything is still working as it should. If the holder or anyone wants to buy it, I'll let it go for 3k. I had planned to start advertising it later this month. I'd guess I could find a buyer within a month or (2) tops, so that would be the minimum storage requirement. After that, i'll have most likely moved some of these other consoles to new owners - or in the case of my Soundtracs, into my facility, and have space to have it shipped to me.

If any of this interests you, drop a line or shoot me a PM. Obviously there will have to be some type of screening process that takes place prior to arranging the pick up for security purposes, but I have faith that those who inquire are likely to be upstanding people, allowing things to go smoothly.

I'll have to get my guy to get me an exact measurement, but off the top, it's roughly 5 ft x 3-4 ft x 3 ft? The highth being 3ft with the legs attached to the frame, perhaps a little over a foot to the top of the bridge without the legs.

I think that's a great offer to someone.... seems fair to me. I'm just affraid it could be worse than taking care of someone's puppy for a long time and falling in love with it.

Ok, It was retrieved, it was/is stored, now what? Is it gathering dust in a garage? Is it being used to record? Is it a pain in someones side? Is it in a good home? What's the deal?
