Transmition loss with ADAT litepipe

Another quick question....... if you had a long run for a litepipe cable......how long is to long if you went out and bought a 7mm heavy duty cable.... Just wondering!

If you want to do a long ADAT run then buy a lightpipe (plastic) to fibre (glass fibres or much thinner plastic) converter. I think it costs about $400? You can then do runs for hunreds of feet.
