Will an external clock help 192s looped with Sync ?

I have a pair of 192s and the Digi Sync looped and use the Sync as the master.

I have no idea if the clock in the Sync is an improvement over the 192s.

Would I still hear an improvement with a B Ben or another clock ?

Some people say that you would but technically speaking, you should not.

The Loop Sync function on the 192 I/O's and the SYNC I/O is phase locked. Any other incoming clock signal is going to be converted to lock to the loop sync. Some people say they like the Big Ben but if you have the SYNC I/O already, I do not think you will get an improvement.

Just my .02. All three HD3 rigs that I work on have the SYNC I/O and they are fantastic and EXTREMELY accurate and jitter free.
