API Lunchbox alternative for just 1 unit?

Hi, I just got an AMS 1073LB and need a lunchbox to be able to use it. The thing is that I only need one rack, not 6 or even 2. After some research I found that Chameleon Labs would have what I need with their "CPS-501 Powered Chassis " but it's not available yet and I would like to buy something real quick to make it work asap. I can't find any other alternatives so your input is appreciated.

Thanks!

Chameleon Labs CPS501 - 500 Series Powered Chassis [SCHMCPS501] -

I've been thinking of getting the 1073lb and the chameleon. It seems available at the link above. Apologies if I'm wrong and you've already tried them.

It wouldn't be a bad idea to pick up one of these so you would have room for a another pre or a compressor. Then you could create a nice stereo pre or a channel strip.

Thanks for the link, I'll ask the store if it's available or not. I'll also have to ask if it's compatible with the 1073LB.

I know that the A Designs rack you're mentionning, burster1, is not compatible.

yep.
i have one and find it very very handy to have in addition to the racks and lunchboxs.

you might find some one to make you a single power supplies, but my guess is it would be a better price to just get one of the A-Designs rack units.

The thing is, you could spend $300 on an A-Designs 2 slot rack, or you could find a used 6 slot lunchbox for like $350. I don't want to knock A-Designs, there is certainly a market for what they offer but $50 for 4 more slots seems like a good idea to me.

I sent an email to Chameleon Labs 6 days ago regarding the compatibility between the CPS-501 and the 1073LB and I still didn't get any answer... Not very professional. Does anyone know if this company is serious?

I just wired up a 15 pin ELCO connector to a + - 15 volt power supply and a couple of XLR connectors. Not elegant, but functional. I power it from a 16 volt AC wall wort for safety.

Chameleon Labs and LB1073

These units do not work well together. I have read multiple people that tried it. The Chassis doesn't have enough power for the LB 1073. I am using perfectly with and API512c though!
