| mixing mono speaker. What type of speaker do you recommend for mono mixing. Is it a good idea to just buy three speakers of the same brand and use the third for mono mixing. |

| I like Auratones, but they've become a bit hard to find. I heard Coast Recording had some, but I don't know if that's true. They're not powered, of course. I use and like the Fostex 6301B as a stand-in for the Auratone. The "AV" designation means it's shielded and won't gauss your monitor and turn the edges green. They're about $150 each.
