Hilarious name. It's an ANALOG guitar pedal with a digital-sounding name. At first I thought it was a Roland or Steinberg product.

Reminds me of Sans Amp minus the dip switches...

I'd love to check out some other instrument samples (drums, vocals, etc)

Haven't heard the samples yet...

But hey slutz, is that a vintage 58 on the stack? Can't seem to zoom in close enough on the pic.

good news! a unit was shipped out to me on tuesday. i'll post some mp3's over at either the les paul or fender forums next week, after i've received it & done some recordings, so you can tell for yourselves.

http://www.thefenderforum.com/forum/...?s=&forumid=29

http://www.lespaulforum.com/forum/fo...?s=&forumid=31

i've got some pretty cool mp3's posted at both at the moment, of my strat & les paul/sg through an SMF 15Watter, that were recorded with an sm57 into one of the jensen input tranny equipped mic pre's on my Speck Electronics m72 input console. the pre's in this thing are bloody gorgeous!!! worth having a listen! they're the "Wagner" "SR" & "Fillmore" threads. i'm currently developing the "Crossroads" set (replicas of what clapton woulda had in "the Fool," the painted sg he played exclusively for about a year and a half). later,

oh my bloody word!!! it came today. i've only tried it with my amp, so far. and it is beyond description! i've got a session tonite, so i might give it a try direct just to see how that goes; it's just that my speck m72/sm-57 setup is really puttin' it out for me as of late...but i can tell how it works. it's all in the cut knob (the dialing in of the speaker sim). i'll get back with the results.

un-bloody-believable! plugged it into the board today. the sansamp is outta here bigtime! it's so-o-o bloody natural & real sounding, & that's without any kind of 'verb to give it a room sound. what's killin' is it does an amazing clean tone, something the sansamp sucks at. it really sounds like you're playing through glass (toobs)! and the various gain tones are fantastic. it does a spot on page. it's actually designed to emulate a dallas rangemaster treble boost plugged into a marshall or ac30. it also feeds back in the most musical & sympathetic fashion. the bass & cut knobs are extremely interactive, & capable of dialing in a lot of different sounding amps. there is just no comparison between the v-stack & a sansamp. the pods & pod-a-likes, forget about! they are just so bloody weak in comparison. and what really blows me away is that it sounds absurdly great plugged into an amp (mine's a dual el84, 12ax7 pre-amp, gz34 rectified affair)! and not just passably, but better than my fulltone dp-1! it's much more open sounding; and definitely more natural. chords are articulate, irregardless of how much gain. there's just no losing! i will try to get around to recording it, both miked & direct, this week, so you can hear it. i'm tellin' ya, forget about the sansamp! this is it!

This sounds VERY interesting. Muddy, if you can, please do record some clean sounds as well - and it sure would be nice to hear it in a 'real' track... the ones on the web-site aren't really that much use...

gettin' there! haven't done any clean trax yet though. i'm in the middle of doing some mp3's for the "Crossroads" set that i helped develop (i only lent my ears & fingers, but the idea to make 'em was mine) that'll go up on Jim Wagner's site;

http://crcoils.com/index.html

and i've gotta do some with the amp mic'd as well. but i'll get to it!

http://www.smfamps.com/amp_info.htm

it's a mark sampson jobbie that has a "sonic hatchback," a panel that opens & closes (& everywhere in between! stays put! it's magic!), so you can tune it to the room yer in. bloody glorious tone! i should have some soundfiles up of it at jim wagner's site

http://crcoils.com/index.html

soon, for the "Crossroads" set i just helped him with. otherwise, i've been splattering (, ;-) mp3's all over the les paul & fender forums (i've got his "SR's in my strat).

http://www.thefenderforum.com/forum/...?s=&forumid=29

http://www.lespaulforum.com/forum/fo...?s=&forumid=31
