Thread Starter | Something just crossed my mind recently... How does one normally incoporate a sidecar mixer? Is it something as simple as eating a channel on your main board and running stereo out of your sidecar through a channel strip and thus piggybacking it? I have seen these all over, but never even gave it a second thought? What's common practice? |

| Some consoles have auxillary inputs to the mains My old allen and heath had a pair. I used to slave the A&H and a soundtracs board together for large mixes. I used to use the A&H for the tracks and the soundtracs for effects returns. It worked great There are other ways to use it. You could eat up a couple faders If you don't have auxillary to your mains Though neither of my boards were considered 'sidecars' the principals would apply Id love to get my hands on a neve side car. I see them around. The dealers gouge the prices really bad on those though |
