Revox B77 Mk2 HS - How to tell if it's 1/2" or 1/4"?

I have just got hold of a good condition Revox B77 Mk2 HS. As this is my first Reel To Reel I just wanted to know how to tell if it uses 1/2" or 1/4" tape.

It has a sticker near the inputs on the back stating it is a 2 track machine.

Sorry if this is a noob question but I dont want to buy the wrong tape.

Rergarding tape, I was going to get RMGI 468 (the machine is being serviced and calibrated in the next few weeks) will this be a good tape for mastering bass heavy Deep House?

1/4" tape, no doubt !
2 tracks means the total width of the tape is used by the 2 tracks, because some older models were labelled "4 tracks", but were in fact "double 2 tracks", by swapping the two reels… these models are not so valuable than yours !
Last thing, the best model is the one with 9,5/15 ips speed switch, not the 4,75/9,5, as the higher is the speed, the better is the signal !

EDIT : Sorry, I didn't saw the "HS" mention… so, you've got the best one, with the highest speed !!!

Great, thanks alot for clearing that up

I will get some RMGI 468 1/4" and see if I like the sound once the machine is serviced.

I think you mean 3 3/4- 7 1/2ips and 7 1/2 - 15ips (the latter being more sought after.)
