He also produced, engineered and mixed the Lamb of God record.
Great work, heavy as hell. I love it.

That new Every Time I Die album is pretty good but it's no "Hot Damn!!". I prefer Eric Rachel's drier vocals instead of the constant reverb tail at the end of longer screams, but that's just my preference for ETID. I found this article about Machine that was written after he did Lamb of God http://www.mp3.com/story/feature_machine.html
BTW I just saw Every Time I Die last weekend and they are ridiculous live

Machine also produced King Crimson - The Power To Believe. That sounds way better than ETID and Lamb of God. Check it out. better music too...

He's an old chum of mine. Last I heard he had a studio in Teanek New Jersey (spelling?) I went to his wedding party at Maxwells Hoboken. Cool dude. HE will often play gtr and sing BV's on stuff he produces. We have shared production on a few tracks of a UK band called Cortizone.

How bizarre Jules!!!

I wonder if I met you then...? I was there with my ex-wife.

That was what...? 2000? So a few years before we met at GS dinner in NYC.

Gene is now at "The Machine Shop" in scenic Weehawken NJ.

He is doing great work and is busy as all hell.

He deserves it.

Amen.

The "guy to beat" on the Jersey side of the Hudson for over a decade.

Always loved the way this guy hears.

About the nicest cat you'd ever wanna meet as well.

Well say hi from me, see Slippermans lead above, and try to find him...

due to his name he is damn hard to track down on google searches.. Also his long term manager from back when I knew him Paul Adams (a Northern Brit based in NYC last I heard) doesnt seem to list him as a client any more???? Things change...

He had a great track called Drop The Bomb as a solo artist. I played 'deal getter' for him here in London, UK and hooked him up with a 2 single deal with Big Life (uk) but he felt an indie deal would 'spoil it' for the majors.... so turned it down..(shame!)

Actually I bet I could find his number.. I am chums with one of his best friends, who lives here in London. PM me..

Cut one song

I cut and mixed the song Guitared and Feathered for Ferret's sampler...
I was working with Eddie and Rob from Scrap 60 productions.
But Machine recut it for the record.

He did Emanuel , their first full length. It isnt the best recording but it ROCKS. I dont think he tracked the drums though. I really like this band though many seem not to. The bass guitar tone is amazing. The breakdown on the song Hey Man is just a killer bass sound. He made a young band sound very pro.
