Will PT ever not need VST to RTAS

Why dont pt just encorporate vst, i mean freak me. All this bull with the vst to rtas adapters, especially the vst plugs with midi capabilities.

isn't it just LE that needs the wrapper?

HD doesn't need it right?

HD will run Audiosuite, TDM, RTAS and ReWire applications.

I'd be surprised to see Digidesign open Pro Tools up to VST plugins. It seems that they like to buy RTAS/TDM plugin makers so they can make more on Pro Tools; if people could suddenly use VST with Pro Tools, they'd miss out on a lot of sales, I think.

I'll bet the third party developers of TDM/RTAS plugins would have something to say about it as well.

But what do I know? I think only something like loss of a large market share to Nuendo/Cubase would cause them to even consider making Pro Tools VST compatible.

Why not just spend 75 bucks on the damn wrapper. Its not that big of a deal.

The vst to Rtas wrap works fine in HD accel and PT Works great. I have HD Accel3 and I use vsti all the time.

Does ADC still work properly with the wrapper?

why don't more developers do what Drumagog has done? make the wrapper part of the plug. that's what Rim told me, drumagog is a vst plug with built in wrapper and it reports it's delay to PT perfectly.
