Absolutely! Though I need no ear training, my dog hates the sound of diesel engines. So if I hear no footsteps on my porch but the dog is barking his head off, gotta run to the door! It's like Christmas on (3-5 day) demand!

Like a dog, I perk up when I hear the UPS truck. Drivers really cute and she doesn't stop if my van isn't in the drive. She'll come back later after her pickups when I'm usually home. No more missed deliveries!

I live in the city, so I don't really hear the sound of the truck. I just get excited as I walk up to my building, and see that UPS tag on my mailbox telling me that I'll have to travel all the way to the South Loop Warehouse to retrieve my package.

I don't mind at all! Always a happy time...

It's definitely a Pavlovian sort of thing. And of course the depression that ensues when you see it drive by day after day without stopping. Non-Delivery Disorder.

These days, everytime the doorbell rings I think to myself, "My opamps from Liebers have arrived." Fortunately, I haven't gotten to the point where I do that every time I hear a truck pass along my street. Although, now you've mentioned it, I'm considering it. Thanks.

Definitely not a pleasant experience. In fact, I was expecting a package, and went to to tracking page to find it was delivered the day before. I call UPS, and they say it was "delivered to side of building", so I go look, and see a soaking wet box sitting on top of my paper recycling bin. I had seen that box the day before, and assumed, since it was a paper box, on the paper recycling bin...well, you get the picture.

fedex in general is much better, but either way no one loves the sound of either the fedex or UPS truck than my dog, Yogi, and I'm waiting on a Telefunken AR-51

Funny thing... literally two minutes after the posted on this thread the doorbell rang... it was the mailman with my SL2520 opamps from Scott Liebers. Nicely done.

I love it when I finally get to hear it! I've been waiting on my new interfaces (3x Steinberg MR816X's) for about 3 weeks now!
