Are we supposed to guess on the price. Why do some people continue to make websites that to promote a product, but then fail to have prices.

Im curious if it needs to be connected to a computer to operate all the time...

if so, no thanks. I'll stick to the wallwarts. Im sure having to turn your computer on everytime you want to power up your rack will help with the "noise, heat, waste and cost" issues.

Only problem is that alot of wall-wart powered studio gear is using between 9-24V AC. This thing only provides 120AC and variable DC outs.

I'm wondering how this piece of gear solves hum an noise. I can build my own power supplies, but I don't know how to eliminate those hums properly when I connect more than one piece of gear to one psu.

If you are using a transformer with a single secondary winding in your power supply, then you will probably run into ground hum. You have to go through each piece of equipment and find where the ground loop(s) are occuring. Then you have to "lift" the offending ground.

It can be easier to just use a transformer with independent secondary windings. That way you don't have to chase down ground loops everytime you change equipment. I assume that is what this product does, but I don't know.
