Thread Starter | Genelec 1031A vs. ADAM S2.5A Can anyone share their experience with either of these monitors? And maybe even the Dynaudio BM15A or AIR 15. Main use is for tracking and mixing rock/pop music. Most importantly - Translation to other systems after a mix? Tracking volume? Consistency at different volumes? Ear fatigue? Punch? In combination with a sub like the Genelec 1092A? |

| Lives for gear | If you search this forum (& other Gearslutz forums, too) you'll find a fair amount on this subject. I don't have the 2.5As, but after auditioning a lot of monitors, and doing a fair amount of research, I ended up with the ADAM S2As and later bought a pair of S4C-As for my "bigs". My own ears, and the comments of many other AEs, lead me to belive I made a great choice. Translation is never a problem with my ADAMs, and it always was with others. Monitors being a rather personal thing, you really should hear all the models you're considering, preferably in your own room - at the least, using material you are intimately familiar with. Don't know if this helps any, but that's all I can say about it. Scott |
