That's a no-brainer. I'd pick "Country Church" any day!

But still will lie awake and wonder how this guys cover art looked like and here's another contender for worst sleeve art EVER!

Even among the experimental noise scene, Blade Records has some of the absolute worst packaging i've ever seen. Pics don't do justice to the kitsch of paper, glue, and ...stuff. I'd laugh more if people didn't pay for them.

Oh man, fabulous pages! Thanks for that.

I added those pages to
my links page

They go well with the Gallery of Regrettable Food link and others I have collected up there in a similar vein.

Super! Many thanks!

I REALLY don't think Top 12 Hits belongs in there. It's dorky, for sure. But it was supposed to be. This was the kind of "rock and roll" designed to be bought by moms shopping at the grovery store. Its cover is dead on for the market and the era.

The rest are truly pretty bad. But I've seen plenty, probably hundreds if not thousands, of covers that are in the basic range covered by the bottom nine.

Funny that this made the list. One of my fellow employees had a CD of this at work today. I'm shittin' you negative. A friend had given it to him with a pile of others.

Coincidence or conspiracy?

I'm SO BUMMED!

I'm really upset. My first idea for the cover art for my new CD, "Say GoodBye to Mr. Happy" was nearly identical to the Orleans cover. The alternative was all of the guys wearing Manley Labs shirts, posing like bodybuilders Hans & Franz. (No disrespect, I LOVE my Manley & Langevin gear and I wear my shirts with pride...but someone always asks me if I'm gay whenever I wear a shirt that says 'manley' on it.) But I love my Manley shirtz and did not have five of them for the guyz, besides they wanted to stay nekkid and close to one another.

JOYCE- now that is one hot mama!

The Ministers Quartet- Let Me Touch Him- is a really nice album of four part vocal harmony Michael Jackson covers, all proceeds go to NAMBLA.

You guys remember the picture of TEEN WOLF rocker at the microphone? Anybody ever see the cover art from THAT group?

Jim

I just started busting out laughing when I read that title... that color scheme, and the font they used.. holy crap.. that was the most unexpected title I think I could have thought of.

This really made my morning! All my friends are dead and Don't stop the music should be on the same record! That compilation would made a certain hit!

I'm still laughing!

That manowar cover is also hilarios! Looks like a chippendale advert!

I went to manowar once when they were in holland and i laughed my arse off! They came on stage riding harley's and wearing bearskins. Then they grabbed a girl from the first row form the audience on stage, stripped her and threw her back into the crowd! Man, those were times!
