Gibson Black Beauty

Can anyone recommend a good dealer in the Seattle or LA area with whom I can purchase a Gibson black beauty?
I’ll be in this two areas next week (I’m not from EUA).

Thanks,
Galli.

Thanks,

I would probably plan on looking somewhere in LA rather than Seattle. Surprisingly enough, there's really not too many nice guitars (stocked) in the music stores here in Seattle. I could never really understand why not, with all the money around here and a pretty vibrant music scene.

Thanks. Yes, LA seems to be the place. I'll be in EUA for a week and only in Seattle, La and Las Vegas (business trip).

Someone also recommended Centre City Music, in San Diego (I guess I can drive there from LA…).

Any other recommendation is appreciated.

Thanks,

Call Gadget at the Guitar Center in Sherman Oaks (Los Angeles). 818-990-8332

He'll take care of you.

I think he'll be back in town on Saturday if you can wait until then.

Thanks for the replies.

I'll try those options.
Centre City seems to be esteemed (second indication). I guess I can drive there...

Not ragging at all. I’m really impressed. Even more now, with your 60+ guitars!

Best,
Galli.

If your going to be in Vegas, you have to go to Cowtown Guitars http://www.cowtownguitars.com/
Mark Chapman carries quite a extensive stock of vintage guitars. If you give him a call ahead of time (702-866-2600) he may have or could locate a Black Beauty for you to try out.

Another vote for Saul @ Centre City Music in San Diego. I bought a couple gibsons there. Really honest and great all around guy, and you will get the aboslute best price on gibsons with no BS.

Well, shee-it, if he's gonna be in Vegas he's *got* to stop in at Ed Roman's Guitar Palace or whatever it's called. Not necessarily to buy a guitar, just for the experience: Imagine Disneyworld, only instead of Seven Dwarves there's 3000 guitars...and instead of Mickey Mouse there's a half-crazed opinionated cantankerous savant.

I read one of your posts the other day saying you were buying three tele's...won't that ruin your high end collection?

nice description of Ed!

Ed Roman's is a definitly a place to see but if your serious about a vintage instrument like a Gibson Black Beauty, Cowtown is where to go in Vegas.
