Anyone tried out Waves SSL 4000 bundle

Did anyone tested Waves SSL 4000 software emulations. Do they sound any near to hardware units?

even if they're great, I've started to get tired of waves authorizations and upgrade policy. Voxengo and other plugins have done better at times.

Now this is funny/odd??? I was over at the DUC and someone was complaining about the SSL crashing their PT7 rig. Someone from Waves Customer Support actually posted a response!! I thought they were in STEALTH mode!!

Regards,
Bruce

No comparison for me...since I don't own a SSL ,
but I dig the plugs, they sound better than any of my other plugs to my ears.

But PT7 does crash a helluva alot since I put them on....I did the upgrade they speak of too....off to the DUC I head to search!
