reamping problem

I'm using X-amp from Radial
I'm sending a soloed track out [DI's good sounding track] through main outs in Samplitude [set to mono]
this goes out via Lynx Two to X-amp in
then X-amp out to amplifier
Mics on the amp cabinet
into preamps [seventhcircleaudio] back into Lynx into new track in Samplitude

on a normally very quiet amp I'm getting feedback and a very noisy and poor signal that is not usable

is there something faulty in my signal chain here?

suggestions?

cheers
dave

Sounds like you have inadvertently routed something else to the reamp. Best....H

Sounds like an internal routing/monitoring loop to me, but I don't know Samp so cannot advise where to look.

I bet you're sending the reamp'd signal back to the amp. This is a monitoring problem. You need to be listening to the track you're recording, but not sending it out to the reamp. I use the RME mixer software, and I bet Lynx has some equivalent.

I bet you are right - I'm getting a feedback loop
I think Samp and the Lynx is set to hardware monitoring so the reamped/cabinet signal is getting sent back out. I'll try setting the Lynx so it mutes the monitoring back out and take samp off hardware monitoring.

probably means I won't be able to monitor the reamped signal but I can monitor and adjust the level going in by trial and error I guess

cheers!
