Hope you "see the light" soon.

Yeah, my power is out- I had to power my computer by rubbing two sticks together...

I do hope all our NYC (as well as the rest of the East coast) slutz are doing well. I sincerely hope they are all taking this opportunity to grab the nearest 6 string and head for the nearest rooftop to write great songs about the frailty of this little earth we live on.

Long live NYC... long live the slutz.

Do start posting when your computers are back on and tell us how you all did.

Tunes... out.

power is back on, here, about 2 hours northwest of manhatten. it came back on at about 9:00 PM. when it went down at around 4:00, i was working on aligning a drum track to the grid in protools. luckily, it was just for practice on getting my speed up on editing, and not for a client. when the power went down, i did just that, picked up my acoustic and did a little strumming.

I think it's absolutely ridiculous how much coverage this is getting. The ****ing President came on TV to "tell the nation everything's fine."

This happens every summer. It should be mentioned about 3/4 of the way through the newscast right before the story about the old lady's cat.

Oh... the blackout thing was your fault... see that was the lord telling you that aligning drum tracks to grids is evil. If you have been spending your time trying to figure out a better way to gain stage your shit in alsihad rather than cutting up drums then the lights would have stayed on... but noooooooooooo.... you had to go **** with grids and drum track.

There are about 50,000,000 people who aren't all that happy with you right now... don't go ****in' with grids again and they said they'll let you slide on the last time.

Seriously, there's a gap in the market over here for a shrewd audio dealer such as yourself.

I'd buy stuff..over and over again.

Hands up who wants Fletcher to set up a London branch.

Cheers,

I got power back at about 3:30 am this (Friday) morning. So we were out of power for about 11 hours.

I had a rehearsal scheduled, and the power went out just as we were starting. So we pulled out the acoustic instruments and played a few, then called it quits.

I discovered that if you take all your clothes off and lay on the floor in the lowest level of your house and hold real still - you might be able to cool off a little...

It's no so much Fletcher setting up shop here as how much beer there is in London.

It turned out to be pretty wide spread, with most of Ontario out as well. My ups saved my editting session and I could have started up my generator and continued but instead I turned on my windup radio and listened to reports about the extant of blackout. Was a nice holiday for me but I had everything I needed and it turned out to be a nice cool night so I didn't miss my fan. It does leave some serious questions about how the electrical grid is configured these days. Take care Logan

Did that yesterday already to get home.

Something like 120 Manhattan blocks.

20 Manhattan blocks equal a mile, so you do the math.grudge

Nah, i think today i'll wait it out a little.

There is still no power at the studio dowtown anyway. And its also 92 degrees today(heat index makes it feel like 100).

Welcome to NYC!!!
