Thread Starter | Lynx Two & 002 together...a ridiculous idea? Help...
Is this a totally stupid idea? I'm really leaning towards it, but maybe there's a catch. I have a Lynx Two A Card with Nuendo. I like it alot, I like the sound of it & I like what I(me) can achieve using Nuendo to mix my small projects on. The mixes please me more on that then the very limited stuff I've done on an 001 rig here however I like Pro Tools also. I like recording on it & editing in it probably better than Nuendo. I'd like both and am of the understanding that I can go into the Lynx analog, come out SPDIF, go into an 002 box SPDIF - record(either PT w/Digi ASIO Driver or Nuendo)...out of that SPDIF into the Lynx card SPDIF & monitor out of the Lynx analog. phew. Essentially using the Lynx card as a standalone converter for 002 or use it with Nuendo w/ or without the 002 box. That is provided the Lynx card & 002 firewire don't freak out together. Seems like this might be a decent way to have both formats & hang on to my Lynx Two A...no? Is it crazy? TIA!

run away from the 002 as fast as you can unless you are using it just as a Pro Tools dongle.
