Chandler LTD-1 or Daking 52270b Mic/Pre/Eq for Synth & Drum machine Tracking

From reading tons of forums I am concluding that there ar ecertain unit that people are syaing is great for their synth and drum machine tracking. The Chandler Neve 1073 imitation has been suggested a lot to get phat depth to low end like kick or Moog synth bass. Als o some dance producers have recommended the daking micpre eq combo. Who out there produces elctronica/Dance music or synth based stuff is using any of these. also I found people talking about just going for a boss di box that will be fine. it sure would save a lot of money.
thanks

I'd lean toward the 1073 for the bottom end factor. I have both and hav e used them on some techno beds....just me...

If i had my druthers for tracking synth sounds(and I used to)...I probably would go:

1)Neve1073 or "X"1073 something for meat and potatoes(Kicks, pads, perc, efx)

2)Tubetech MP1A or Summit mic pre for synth bass

3)API or Daking for snares

For a direct box probably the Avalon or Manley Voxbox.
