Bad Cat Hot Cat 30 vs 30R head?

Anyone have a chance to hear these heads side by side at all?

Have you noticed any major diff's in the basic tone other than the addition of 'verb (IOW's does 'more stuff' sacrifice some of the tone)?

I'll be calling around to see if I can find a place that has both 'on the floor' for me to go and play through, but I'd like to hear all your views as well. TIA...

I'm pretty sure that Bad Cat does the same thing as Matchless with their speaker configuration - two unlike speakers in the same cab/combo. But if you're planning on getting one of their heads and one of their cabs, the combo vs. head wouldn't be an issue. If you're getting it mainly for recording, I'd go for the head rather than the combo (more flexibility with mixing/matching cabs, can have the head in a seperate room, etc.).

Thanks for the response but I was asking about a comparison between heads... the HC30 head vs the HC30R head.
