Fostex 6301BX Mono powered ref speaker

I fancy trying out using a grotbox to reference mixes against my Focal Solo 6Bes and I came across these. Would anyone be up for sharing their experience in the studio with them?

I use them extensively but not for mixing (although I have listened to music on them). They sound pretty unflattering but I guess they should be good for getting your mids correct . Mike Senior recommends them in his book along with NS-10's and Auratones. Made me consider trying to reference a mix on some....Nah There is another really famous AE who uses them...can't remember his name off hand though? Hope this helps.

[EDIT] Just realised mine are 6301B's and not BX's. Not sure if that matters though.

BX has balanced XLR inputs. B only has balanced jack (TRS) inputs.
