A question on studio ethics, Part 4: Hear for yourself!

Lucey was kind enough to lend me his server so you can take a listen yourself to the recording/mix deemed unprofessional and unusable by the new mixer/mastering engineer and choir. Choir wants full refund. Any feedback more than welcome.

This is a recording of an amateur choir in rural Norway. The words shouldn't be a distraction for most of you...

Really good mix..... clarity, balance..... everything sounds great to me!

Not quite sure how anybody could call that unuseable.... or unprofessional.....

pffffft. that mastering "engineer" should be kicked in the shins.

it's a good recording and mix, so you're right and they're wrong. the only thing that jumps out at me is the sibilance, most noticeably with the vocalist.
