GS. upgrade "Thread Rollover preview" poll - did you like it or was it irritating?

OK - did you like the thread rollover preview?

Or was it annoying?

Or don't care either way

That was the pop up window that displayed text from a thread when you moved the cursor / mouse over it..

Please keep this thread on topic and address other upgrade issues here...

Thanks

It was annoying, but useful. Bring it back.

If you put it back, make it so that the pop up is displayed as long as you are over the thread. Horrible to have it dissapear while reading it. It wouldn't be near as useful if people would name their threads in a useful manner.

Sometimes it was annoying, but overall I began to appreciate it. But with it gone right now I think I want it back!

I'm with Mike on this. Is display time an option?

Again, it was very useful to get a preview of a thread, particularly a thread that's poorly titled! I'd like it back please!

I thought it was annoying. Can it be made to be switched off/on by the user?

though I liked it at first, eventually I came to feel it was mildly annoying.

I was surprised by the poll results, since earlier all I heard was the complaints about it.

I guess you don't miss your water 'til your well runs dry

I am pretty damn sure it is a global option only and not user selectable..

i'm with Michael on that point, If I could turn in on and off at will that would work, found it annoying 95% of the time.

Yeah, I liked it. It was much easier to screen threads of interest to me, especially with the new posts function. A real timesaver.

Yes, it could be a little annoying, but it was one of my favorite features. I find myself wishing other web forums had it when surfing elsewhere.

Liked it a lot. Handy for classifieds too, see what the price is instead of waiting for the post to open. Unless it's buried after 100 lines of flowery buildup
If you don't want to see the preview I believe you can just move the mouse so it's not over a thread title.

Jules, what about a column to show when a thread was started, as well as when the last post was made? Lots of times I think it's a new one but then find it's a recently excavated dinosaur. Or maybe I should post this request elsewhere...
