Best MIDI interface for Pro Tools ??

I am looking for some info on the best MIDI interface for Ptools 7 HD Accel

I wont be using the Digi 192 I will be getting the Apogee 16x Ad, Da
Running on Mac G5

MIDI I/O here as well......

HD2 Accel / HUI / Motormix / PT7.1cs3 /OSX10.4.3 etc....

Is that the Digi one ? And will it work along with the Apogee 16x

I've used both the MIDI I/O and the Unitor8. Never had a problem with either.

Unitor 8 runs great here..... but only the Digi MIDI interface supports MIDI time stamping for PT.
Emagic's AMT only functions in Logic.

This may not be an issue however - if you're not running any outboard MIDI stuff then time stamping is not an issue (it only affects MIDI playback of external devices). If you're just wanting to get MIDI into PT (and not out again) then anything solid is fine (although I'd still suggest the Digi interface is probably the best on the market... if a little pricey)

Just a thought.....
