KRK VXT 8 Center cone pushed in .

I bought a pair of KRK Vxt 8s from guitar center . I got a great price b/c they are floor models . I noticed that someone ( most likely a small child ) pushed the center black bubble in on one of the monitors . I tried using a piece of tape / popping it out and I can't . So my questions are

1 . Is this only a cosmetic nuisance of is this going to affect my sound ?
2 . Any suggestions on how to pop it out ? Can I even get to it if I open them

Worse comes to worse I have a 30 day period
Any help would be greatly appreciated

If you can take the speaker out of its casing, that would be the best way to fix it. But I would return them, as the damage is already done to it.
You might void the warrenty, by taking it apart, so just return it

What about a strong vacuum with that tube attachment to suck it out? Or something thin to stick in there that expands for you to pull it out. I think its an easy fix, just use your imagination

When you say " damage is already done " does this mean that even if I'm not hearing it the sound of one has significantly changed , technically

The vacuum cleaner attachment is what I've found to work well "sucking-out" indented dust covers.

It's just a dust cap.
Should effect sound quality.

Vacuum or some sticky stuff (bubble gum?) on the end of a stick.

The VXT 8 dust cover is way thicker than most so the vac didn't work .
Tape was no luck either .
Thanks for your replies !

If tape doesn't work, usually I do these with a straight pin. It doesn't leave too much of a hole. Or you could just leave it and tell folks you have Focal drivers. ;-)
