Thread Starter | JFYI - Line 6 G30 Wireless guitar Transmitter
....posting this because I wish I would have had the good fortune to have seen this info sooner. My regular wireless guitar unit went down last weekend, needed a quick replacement for road trip this weekend. I figured I would try and economize a little and buy the mid priced Line 6 G30 wireless.... typical internet price of $249-$299. I got it this afternoon, loaded batteries in the transmitter and they fall right out on the floor. The little spring latch is too short to keep the compartment closed. I did I quick Google search for "Line 6 G30 battery door" and "Line 6 G30 battery compartment" and found a virtual plague of this issue from other G30 owners. There are as many posts and instances of this crippling defect as you would like to read. Please consider this if anyone is giving the G30 a thought. The issue renders the unit virtually worthless for regular stage use and hard to believe Line 6 continues to sell the G30 as it is. Thanks ![]() |

The technology is great, but the casing is crap. First thing the clip fell off (bad glue). Second it got some dent from touring. Now it will only start if I have it switched on while closing the battery compartment. This would really benefit in a sturdier casing. |
