| Without knowing what you've already covered, how about these issues: The Bob Katz K system - do people care, should DAWs be calibrated with the K system (and if so, which one). The difference between Steinberg and other DAW vendor's interpretation of RMS. (Seems like Wavelab 6 allows you to turn the RMS reference to the AES17 standard on/off, but Cubase & Nuendo has been at odds with the industry for a while). Is the standard Peak Metering in DAWs a good idea? Is it encouraging DAW users to track and mix too hot? Is it wise to have 50% of the fader travel, level meters or waveform view, focusing on the top 6dB of the scale. Is that influencing people to track and mix too hot? Are VU meters relevant for digital? |
