Thread Starter | Fantom x6/yamaha motif es rack/presonus audiobox
Hello everybody! First time poster here, and I'm in a bit of a fix. I have a Roland Fantom X6 that I bought for about 800 bucks a few weeks ago, and I just bought a Motif ES Rackmount Tone Generator. I also have a Presonus Audio Box and Studio One Artist.. Oh, and a Maschine by Native Instruments... Anyways, can I trigger and record the Motif without USB connectivity from it to my computer? I have the Audiobox already plugged in through the USB obviously, and the MIDI OUT of my Fantom going into the MIDI IN of my Motif. I realize Midi isn't audio but doesn't the rack actually act as a "tone generator"? Should I be able to record based on this set up alone? Any answers are appreciated. Thanks |
