DVD of Me and Band in Studio 1976!!!

Now how cool is this?
My friend's mom found a Super 8 movie he made of me "producing" a band at my studio in 1976.

There I am sitting at my UA 16 x3 console (I forget the model number) all tube!
Lang EQs off to one side, a dBx subharmonic adding box thing, Ampex AG440 1" 8-track, Ampex 1/4" 351 2 track, a four track Dokorder, Coors beer

now to marry the audio to it.

wooHOOOOOO!!!!!!

Cool! Did you keep the 440 and 351 (say you did)?

Yes Coors was popular back in the 70s, but it was still outlaw beer. I don't believe it was "imported" this far east at that time, was it? Weren't we still making Colorado runs and filling up pickups and taking orders for friends and such?
Haha....

Funny you bring that up. My wife just found a cassette of my band rehearsal from when I was 17 years old in my parents basement. Man that was over 20 years ago...don't even remember it.

Quite a challenging set list for young'ins. Bloody Well Right, No Quarter, Black Dog, Highway Star, then oddly enough Ashes To Ashes. Kinda blew me away. Our keyboard player was right on - Hammond, Rhodes, Leslie....ahhh the memories

When I find a decent cassette player I'll transfer it over and post it for you fellas.
