Studio Technologies Mic Preminence Preamp

I have Studio Technologies Mic Preminence 2 Preamp....I think I paid $700 used about 10 years ago. It is a 2 channel with a very simple 1 knob per channel design, and it sounds pretty good. It seems to sound pretty tight on kick, very good on snare.
I tried a search, but it seems that nobody mentions this model.
I don't have a huge collection of pre's to compare it to, so I was wondering if anyone else has an opinion about how it sounds compared to other pre's...

I bought one when they came out in about 1988.
I used it for a while and it was definitely better than the mic pres in my then console.... Soundtracs CM4400... ;(

I bought a Demeter tube mic pre/DI and only used the Studio Technologies pre on kick and snare from then on. Mostly kick and mixes from that era of my studio sound OK. I can't recall how I EQ'd it... did I use it and go into the CM4400's line in? No!!!!!!!

I was "OK."

I don't think we paid much over $1K for it new.

It is still in the studio of the guy that took over the space from us!
