Back to School

Houdy Slutz! I am looking for a good school were i can learn the most of the art of recording, mixing and maybe mastering technique. I am 30 years old and have been playing with severel bands for over 14 years now. I also build my own recording studio and had over 50 bands for the last 2 years. I am not a rookie at this but i would like to have a more serious knowledge. I´m looking for a place were I can learn advanced recording techniques. I had some friends in severel schools around europe and, after talking to them, they told me that i should look for something different (most of them atended SAE in diferent countries). What I am looking is for a very pratic medium/advanced oriented education. Is there anything like that out there? Can anybody recomend a good place to learn, the best place...? It really doesn´t matter in what country it is, although it would be nice In Europe.
Thanks

This topic is of interest to me too, because lately I have been considering the same thing. The only place I know of is Full Sail in Florida but they are waaay expensive and I'm not sure you can take individual classes without enrolling in their full program. If anyone out there has more info please share.

Consider this repsonse very biased. I run a program that might fit the bill. We do a six day program that is geared towards guys like you that are already doing it but want to take it to the next level. We are also toying with the idea of doing out first 3 week program this summer.

it looks more like you need to assist a proven engineer...attending school is not going to make it happen...
but if you want to go with the school route there is one in Belgium that is good, but it's difficult to enter and it's going to be several years. Unfortunately I don't remember the name....

Send a message via AIM to nukmusic Send a message via Yahoo to nukmusic
Maybe even find a well known engineer that does private tutoring of half the price.
