Saving PT Sessions with only the audio in the session

Im trying to save pro tools session to send via internet but the sessions are massive and I only want to save whats on the actual session which amount to much less..
Is there anyway to save a session like this?
I tried opening up an new session and importing the session but the files still stay in the audio folder my session

You can go into your region list, and do clear/delete unused, then save the session.

you should do "save as" so its a different session, then consolidate each track (alt, shft,3 or something) to create new single audio files for each rack (instead of say...30 or so audio files for each track, this turns them into one single one...(oh and dont forget to apply crossfades and start consolidating from the begining for each track or it will be an absolute mess!).

now that you have consolidated the tracks, just go to the audio files folder of the session (or just export them to their own folder so its easier to find them) and choose the files to send via the internet.

The session file itself contains very little data compared to the .wav files, you could even use itunes to convert these new files to .mp3, and that will greatly reduce the file size.

Pando.com is an easy way (sort of) to send 2 gigabytes directly to a friend.

My method:

1 - "Save as" ("xxx UPLOAD")
2 - Delete unused playlists
3 - If there are lots of overlying takes, consolidate, if not, don't.
4 - CLEAR (do not delete) unused audio files.
5 - Do a "Save Session Copy" in some other place in the system
6 - ZIP or RAR the newly created folder
7 - Upload to the web
8 - Delete the now useless newly created files/folders

1) SAVE AS
2) SHIFT+COMMAND+U
3) SHIFT+COMMAND+B
4) SAVE COPY IN (DESTINATION DRIVE)

...takes about 10 seconds total
