Jamming Online with other players? A novel idea?

Well it's coming, sooner rather than later.....30MB per second, but at a price....

See here:
http://www.cedmagazine.com/article/CA6306179.html

Anyway, I know there are a few new websites dedicated to musicians jamming online via midi protocols but was wondering if anyone has any ideas on how to do the following.......(i think this has been done with audio files)....

e.g. one

Player creates Cubase, Nuendo, Pro-Tools, Sonar ect project, lays down BFD drum tracks, bass line, vocals, acoustic, electric etc.

Then via website either the project file or audio files are uploaded and then, for say shared royalties or a price etc, parts are redone, for example lead guitar, or drums, bass, mixing, mastering, etc.

I've worked with quite a few major motion pictures as well as music libraries, A&R, Soundtracks, so I know the business pretty good and of course have a website, so was just wondering what everyone thinks?

We all have our talents, but sometimes the inclusion of other session players is a good idea, as their musical talents may not only be better in one area but may offer ideas and direction to cue or song including songwritig.

I suppose the general idea would be to focus on songs first, then branch out.

Is this post making any sense?!?
