No Quarter(back)

Today is Saturday, I'm playing Houses Of The Holy loud, and I'm waiting for rugby and beer this afternoon... Life is peachy!

FOR THE FIRST TIME I've only just noticed No Quarter has piano in it! I've listened to it hundreds of times... funny how you concentrate on certain things in a tune.

Beautiful sounding piano too... Is it a Korg?

I'm pretty sure that's a Wurlitzer Electric Piano going through some kind of phaser like a Small Stone.

Alesis pretty much NAILED the sound also in my QS8 keyboard, and even called it "No Quarter".

I'm pretty sure that live ( the song remains...) he uses a mark 1 73 fender Rhodes with a Maestro phase shifter. I've got the same exact combination here and it is right on the money.

We used to cover that one when we were young and IIRC the keyboard player used to nail it with a Fender Rhodes...effected of course. Funny this comes up, I found a tape the other day of us rehearsing it in my parents basement....we were like 17 years old back then...blew me away, I hadn't heard that tape for over 20 years (forgot it was even around)

Sounds beautiful!

That's probably my favorite Zep song. The guitar sound is really cool.

Ok, I just listened to it again. The acoustic piano does sound really nice. I have a Maestro Phaser and I love it. It's the one with the huge wheels on the side labeled "balls" and "speed."
